Meet the Author - Arthur Jung
Arthur Jung is a retired sailboat charter captain, world traveler, and former aerospace machinist who helped build NASA’s Apollo 11. After years running sailing charters in Hawaii, he co-founded Pelagius Yacht Services in Singapore and bought the legendary 80-ft sailboat Tatoosh from Peter Fonda. In 1987, he circumnavigated the globe, a journey that led to “Operation Nautilus,” the largest high-seas hashish bust of its time.
Spanning Afghanistan, Pakistan, and a 150-camel caravan, his story involves armed Mujahideen horsemen, naval destroyers, and an international legal battle that reached the U.S. Supreme Court. Released in 2010 after exposing government misconduct, Arthur now lives in Hawaii, enjoying life with his sons and grandchildren.
